Has Bean is proud to be a supporter and Benefactor member of the Cup of Excellence programme. The goal of the Cup of Excellence is to find the best coffees of a harvest season and to reward the farmers who produced them, not only with a certificate or a trophy but also with an increased price when these rare coffees are sold to the highest bidder. Rewarding quality with a fair price has to be a sustainable way to ensure fairness. A way where everyone wins, from the farmer through to you, the consumer.

The competition winners are chosen based on flavour excellence in the cup and there is no political, gender or farm size bias. The international jury, selected by recommendation and cupping expertise, evaluates only those coffees which have already been pre-screened and then selected by a national jury.
